چکیده
Oxidative stress due to excessive of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in the body is commonly associated as one underlying mechanisms ultraviolet radiation (UV)-induced damage skin. Reactive sulphur (RSS) has been implicated with potent antioxidant properties and involves modulating cellular signalling transduction pathway. In this current study, potential involvement RSS alleviating UV-induced HaCaT keratinocytes was explored. We first established suitable dose UVA UVB that can depressed cells population, 80 mJ/cm2 10 mJ/cm2, respectively. The sulphide donor, NaHS, also tested for its cytotoxicity profile, 200 µM considered non-toxic concentration cells. Our data showed pre-treating NaHS decreased detrimental effects UV especially on demonstrated by MTT assay. work, we used 2’,7’-dichlorofluorescin-diacetate (DCFH-DA), a useful indicator ROS, regard determining NaHS. demonstrate significantly suppressed intracellular ROS production induced both irradiation comparison absence (p<0.05). conclusion, supplementation biological condition particularly provides protective effect skin against diminishing formation ROS. Nonetheless, study preliminary insight role damages vitro model which be further expand precision technique future.

Antioxidative Effect of Quetiapine on Acute Ultraviolet-B-Induced Skin and HaCaT Cell Damage.
Quetiapine is a new type of antipsychotic drug, with effective protection of pheochromocytoma PC12 cells from oxidative stress-induced apoptosis. Ultraviolet-B radiation can increase reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, resulting in significant inflammatory responses in damaged skin. Thus, the purpose of this study is to explore whether quetiapine protects the skin from intermediate-wave u...
متن کاملA Majority of Human Melanoma Cell Lines Exhibits an S Phase-Specific Defect in Excision of UV-Induced DNA Photoproducts
It is well established that efficient removal of highly-promutagenic UV-induced dipyrimidine photoproducts via nucleotide excision repair (NER) is required for protection against sunlight-associated malignant melanoma. Nonetheless, the extent to which reduced NER capacity might contribute to individual melanoma susceptibility in the general population remains unclear. Here we show that among a ...
متن کاملGarlic Supplementation Ameliorates UV-Induced Photoaging in Hairless Mice by Regulating Antioxidative Activity and MMPs Expression.
UV exposure is associated with oxidative stress and is the primary factor in skin photoaging. UV-induced reactive oxygen species (ROS) cause the up-regulation of metalloproteinase (MMPs) and the degradation of dermal collagen and elastic fibers. Garlic and its components have been reported to exert antioxidative effects. The present study investigated the protective effect of garlic on UV-induc...
متن کاملCytoprotective effect of glucosylceramide synthase inhibition against daunorubicin-induced apoptosis in human leukemic cell lines.
Several studies have shown that ceramide (CER) glucosylation contributes to drug resistance in multidrug-resistant cells and that inhibition of glucosylceramide synthase sensitizes cells to various drug treatments. However, the role of glucosylceramide synthase has not been studied in drug-sensitive cancer cells. We have demonstrated previously that the anthracycline daunorubicin (DNR) rapidly ...
متن کاملTheophylline exhibits anti-cancer activity via suppressing SRSF3 in cervical and breast cancer cell lines
Caffeine, theophylline, and theobromine are the most well-known members of methylxanthines. Caffeine-induced serine/arginine-rich splicing factor 2, SRSF2, and SRSF3 are required for the alternative splicing of a subset of cancer-associated genes. However, it remains to be investigated whether and how theophylline and theobromine as well as caffeine exert their antitumor effects through mediati...
